Wild Yellowstone

Day 1:
Monday 22nd June 2009
We fly from London Heathrow to Jackson and transfer to our motel.

Day 2:
Tuesday 23rd June 2009
After breakfast in Jackson we spend the day exploring around Jackson and the Grand Teton National Park. The park should be resplendent with the spring flowers.

Day 3:
Wednesday 24th June 2009
A pre dawn start to photograph dawn at the Moulton Barn. We spend the remainder of the day visiting the Grand Teton area.

Day 4:
Thursday 25th June 2009
An early start to photograph dawn at the Moulton Barn before we head for our first visit to the park. We drive north past Coulter Lake, West Thumb and Hayden Valley en-route to Gardiner.

Day 5:
Friday 26th June 2009
The morning is spent visiting the Main Terrace at Mammoth and also drive the terrace route to visit Orange Spring Mound. The afternoon is spent visiting Jardine and the local area.

Day 6:
Saturday 27th June 2009
In the morning we visit the Mammoth Area before heading north through the Lamar Valley to Cooke City.

Day 7:
Sunday 28th June 2009
This is our first day with a local wildlife photographer visiting his known nesting sites. With luck there will be an owl’s nest amongst those we visit.

Day 8:
Monday 29th June 2009
This is the second day we spend with a local wildlife photographer in the heart of the Beartooth Mountain photographing the wildlife.

Day 9:
Tuesday 30th June 2009
This will be our final day with a local wildlife photographer in the heart of the Beartooth Mountain photographing the wildlife.

Day 10:
Wednesday 1st July 2009
Our journey takes us from Cooke City and cross the Beartooth Mountain to Cody. In the evening we visit the Cody Stampede, the most famous Rodeo of the west

Thursday 2nd July 2009
An early start is made as we head west through the Park spending time to explore before we reach West Yellowstone. We spend the full day exploring the wonders of Yellowstone National Park.

Friday 3rd July 2009
All of the day is spent exploring the wonders of Yellowstone National Park.

Saturday 4th July 2009
A further full day is spent exploring the wonders of Yellowstone National Park.

Sunday 5th July 2009
We spend the full day exploring the wonders of Yellowstone National Park.

Day 15:
Monday 6th July 2009
This will be our final full day exploring the wonders of Yellowstone National Park. This will be the chance to revisit those favourite locations once again.

Day 16:
Tuesday 7th July 2009
After an early breakfast we head west into the Park to Jackson taking time to explore and photograph along the way.

Day 17:
Wednesday 8th July 2009
We have an early start as we head to the Airport to join our return flight to London Heathrow.

Day 18:
Thursday 9th July 2009
We arrive the next morning having lost 7 hours on our return journey.
