Day 1: Sunday 2nd June 2024
You fly from London to Keflavik and transfer to our hotel near Budardalur, a journey of about 200 kms.

Day 2: Monday 3rd June 2024
In the morning we drive north to Isafjordur. Our route takes us through Strandabygo and Latur and alongside the Isafjordur through Hvitanes and Sudavik as we follow Route 61 north.

Day 3: Tuesday 4th June 2024
In the morning we drive north to the town of Bolungarvik and Minnibakki, allowing time to photograph the landscape and wildlife along the way. We retrace our steps and explore the side road south of Bolungarvik alongside the lake for bird photography.

Day 4: Wednesday 5th June 2024
Today we head south through the tunnel to Holt and Flateyri detouring to detouring Sudureyri enroute. Having explored this area, we return to Isafjordur and travel north to Bolungarvik to explore the side roads for bird photography.

Day 5: Thursday 6th June 2024
We spend a few hours in the morning exploring around Isafjordur before we begin our journey south to Heydalur. The route takes us alongside the southwest edge of the fjord through Sudavik, Hvitanes and Latur.

Day 6: Friday 7th June 2024
Today we continue south to Holmavik and alongside Skagafjordur through Prestbakki until we reach Route 1. We then head east on Route 1, passing Laugarbakki to Blondous.

Day 7: Saturday 8th June 2024
Today we journey east along Route 1 to Akureyri and onto Godafoss to photograph the waterfall. From here it is a short drive to Lake Myvatn where we have time to explore along the lake for wildlife before arriving at the hotel.

Day 8: Sunday 9th June 2024
Today we will be exploring around Lake Myvatn seeking out the birdlife and other photographic opportunities. During the day we may visit Hverir and Myvatn thermal areas as well as Dettifoss.

Day 9: Monday 10th June 2024
We will continue to explore the area for wildlife as well as visiting the great waterfall Godafoss. Our day will also include a drive south along the river Skalfandafljot to Hrafnabjargafoss.

Day 10: Tuesday 11th June 2024
We make an early morning departure for our journey back to Keflavik. We follow Route 1 to Akureyri, Blonduos and Borgarnes before we reach the capitol Reykjavik. From here we take Route 41 to Keflavik for our final night in Iceland.

We will return the hire vehicle before arriving at Keflavik Airport for our return journey to London.
