Day
1: Saturday 20th September 2025
You fly from London to Keflavik and transfer to our hotel on the
Snaefellsnes Peninsular, a distance of 180 kms.

2: Sunday 21st September 2025
In the morning we will explore around Kirkafell, allowing time to
photograph the waterfall and the mountain. We then head west to
explore the Snaefellsnes Peninsular returning to photograph Kirkjufell
in the evening.

3: Monday 22nd September 2025
After breakfast we will head towards Helgafell following Route 54
east along the coastline until we merge with Route 60. We travel
8km north until reaching Route 59, which crosses the Laxardalar
Valley. We follow the coast until we meet Route 1, following this
to Laugarbakki. We will of course make many stops to capture the
exciting landscape and remote churches that are found along the
route.

Day
4: Tuesday 23rd September 2025
We drive to Blonduos and join Route 73 to Sauoarkrokur, then Route
75 to join Route 76. We will then follow Route 76 along the Skagafjordur
to Siglufjordur. From Siglufjordur we pass through a long mountain
tunnel to the Olafsfjordur and join Route 82 towards Dalvik and
onto our overnight stop. On this leg of the journey we will find
fishing villages, wild coastline and rugged mountainous areas that
offers a wide range of photographic potential.

Day
5: Wednesday 24th September 2025
We will set off along Route 82 and merge with Route 1 at Akureyri.
From there we will continue east detouring on Route 83 to Grenivik
and returning to Route 1 for a stop at Godafoss waterfall. The final
leg will follow route 85 to Husavík then onto Asbyrgi Canyon
before turning south towards Dettifoss and Selfoss exploring these
vast waterfalls before heading to Lake Myvatn.

6: Thursday 25th September 2025
Today we travel east to visit Hverir thermal field before heading
back to Godafoss and heading inland to the remote waterfall at Aldeyjarfoss.
After our stop here, after a brief stop we return to Godafoss and
retrace our route to Lake Myvatn.

7: Friday 26th September 2025
Today we travel to Egilsstadir crossing the mountainous area and
passing Hrossaborg Crater and Vidadalur. We will also detour to
visit the Studlagil Canyon where the river runs through a deep ravine
between high basalt columns. .

8: Saturday 27th September 2025
We explore to the south along Jokulsa a Bru towards Hallormsstadur
and Snaefellsstofa and then return north east visiting Bakkagerdi
and Hafnarhus to explore the coloured hillsides before returning
south and detouring east toward Seydisfjordur.

9: Sunday 28th September 2025
Today we journey south along the east coast with a detour to Eskifjordur
and Seydisfjordur then along the shore of Rejdarfjordur before arriving
in Breiddalsvik.

10: Monday 29th September 2025
We explore around Breiddalsvik and continue south to Djupivogur.
Our journey then takes along the rugged cliff drive and onto Hvalnes
as we follow the east coast to Hofn.

11: Tuesday 30th September 2025
We will be visiting the area around Vesturhorn, photographing as
many locations as we can. We visit Stokksnes to photograph the lagoon
for which there is a small admission charge.

12: Wednesday 1st October 2025
We follow Highway 1 to Jokulsarlon where we explore the lagoon and
the beach. We continue on to visit the turf roof church at Hof and
the Falljokul Glacier.

13: Thursday 2nd October 2025
Our journey takes west to Vik. On this leg we will be visiting a
number of waterfalls and wild beaches at Reynisfjara and Dyrholaey
together with dramatic landscapes and churches.

14: Friday 3rd October 2025
Our journey takes us past dramatic waterfalls such as Skogafoss
and Seljalandsfoss as we follow the south coast westwards.

15: Saturday 4th October 2025
We head for Keflavik for our afternoon flight after a detour to
visit around Pingvellir and Oxarafoss arriving in ample time to
join our afternoon flight to London. |
